This programme is an introduction to Articulate Storyline 360 and provides the participants with everything they need to get started with developing their own eLearning content. This course is very practical, and participants will develop a short eLearning module from start to finish for assessment.
Note: this course does not cover best practice for designing engaging eLearning as this content is delivered on the TAP eLearning Design course.
What's included in the course?
  • Each participant will develop an eLearning module project from start to finish to enable participants to quickly pick up the basic skills and apply them back in their workplace
  • Hands on workshop with tutor support and feedback


No previous experience is required although a working knowledge of PowerPoint would be an advantage.
Participants must have Articulate Storyline 360 (licensed or trial version) installed on their machines prior to attending this course.

Assessment information
Participants will produce an eLearning module from a given storyboard assessed against the TAP Articulate Storyline Assessment Criteria.
Supportive feedback from the tutor will be given to help each participant with achieving this.


On day one, we cover:
Creating your interface design
  • Overview of the tools/features in Articulate Storyline 360
  • Set up your branding template
Adding content
  • Adding characters, shapes, images
  • Adding animation and using the timeline
  • Inserting audio and video elements
Creating interactive slides
  • Working with different inbuilt templates
  • Adding hotspots, buttons, layers, triggers
On day two, we cover:
  • Creating branching scenarios
IT simulations
  • Recording ‘how to’ videos
  • Creating interactive IT simulations
Quizzes and assessments
  • Inserting quiz questions
  • Creating a drag and drop activity
  • Publishing your project
  • Assessment sign off for Certification
