Overview
This course gives organisations the opportunity to objectively assess needs analysis, the design of face-to-face and online events and evaluation reports, based upon the TAP methodologies.

The course is designed for L&D Professionals who have been designated to carry out regular assessment of in-house design as part of their quality assurance or are required to manage outsourced design projects.

- Assessor Verification for Assessing TAP Delivery (online)
- The certificate's one-year expiry date maintains TAP's quality assurance procedures and ensures that TAP Accreditation remains dynamic and current. Recertification is via online submission of a work-based assessment.
Prerequisites
Delegates are required to hold TAP Certificates in Learning Needs Analysis and Design.
The Organisation must employ a minimum of four L&D personnel holding valid TAP Certification or have made a commitment to a TAP Certification by way of booking relevant under-pinning TAP Certificates.
Objectives
Assess:
- a needs analysis report
- resources for a classroom course and one of its sessions
- an evaluation report based on a given case study to TAP assessor design standards
The final assessment is via online submissions
Outline
Session 1: Introduction to assessing
In this session, we consider:
- The benefits to the organisation, the assessor and the assessee
- What to do before, during and after and assessment
Session 2: Assessing the needs analysis
In this session, we will:
- Review the needs analysis process from an assessor’s perspective
- Discuss evidence required for assessment purposes
- Practise applying the criteria by assessing a sample needs analysis report
- Discuss recommendations / findings
Session 3: Assessing the principles of learning design
In this session, we will:
- Discuss the evidence required for assessing the principles of learning design from an assessor’s perspective
- Practise applying the criteria by assessing a sample classroom course design and associated online learning module
- Discuss recommendations / findings
Session 4: Assessing resources
In this session, we will:
- Discuss the evidence required for assessing resources
- Practise applying the criteria by assessing sample resources
- Discuss recommendations / findings
