‘It ain’t over till it’s over’
Nigel has been working in the L&D field for over 30 years as an in-house trainer and external consultant. He joined TAP Learning in 2018.
Before joining us he owned and managed a Learning and Development consultancy in Botswana for 15 years, focusing mostly on management and leadership development. He trained and consulted for many public and private sector organisations in the southern African region, particularly Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Nigel has analysed learning needs and developed training programmes from scratch. He has delivered training in exotic locations such as a houseboat on Lake Kariba, a game lodge in the Okavango Delta, a safari resort at the Victoria Falls and in a tent on the banks of the Limpopo River.
Nigel’s qualifications include a Diploma in Adult Education and another in Training Management. He’s also a Certified NLP practitioner and Ericksonian Hypnotherapist.
Favourite Motto/Phrase:
‘You will never amount to anything’. Which, apparently, is what Albert Einstein’s teacher said to him and just goes to show how wrong people can be and how much people can achieve when they try!
Fun Fact:
Nigel likes to spend his time researching military history and watching cricket and rugby (although not at the same time.) He plays very bad golf and tries hard - sometimes successfully - to stay fit
He’s a fan of surreal humour, which mystifies most people
Favourite Films:
Apocalypse Now- because it’s dark, menacing and beautiful
The Princess Bride - because it’s funny, ridiculous and romantic
The Life of Brian – ditto (without the romance)
